It hit me one Saturday morning that leaders are hardly ever taught how to actually be a leader when they start out on this pathway. We are instructed how to manage annual leave, sick leave, training records, or performance issues. But we are not – in so many cases – taught how to be a leader that is inspirational, that makes a team out of a bunch of people, that helps others thrive.

So… I thought I’d create this website and a guide based on my many lessons and observations.

For now, there is a guide for those of you who have taken on a team you have not met before, and you are at the start of your career as a leader.

I am working on a guide for those who have given the leadership of a team they know, because e.g. the person has been promoted from within that team.
